This gear-themed business card holder is one of the first designs I made in my spare time during school. It was a great way to customize my desk at work with my 3D printing projects.
No supports necessary for this print! I printed using PLA on the Prusa i3 MK3 and added my name on the front plate. I've included a blank version in both STEP and STL formats so you can easily customize your business card holder.
To customize the blank version, I recommend creating a sketch on the front plate surface with your name (or any other shapes, logos, etc.) and then extrude a cut of that sketch with a depth of 0.01 or 0.02 inches. After it's printed, you can also paint in the “engraving” on the front plate and then sand down the surface to remove any excess paint outside of the engraving.
