PDF

A fully parametric round container with variable mesh style cap, bottom and walls.

The mesh type is achieved using Prusa slicer using modifiers. The size is currently limited by the maximum diameter that could be printed.

Included are ready to use files for a container with 50mm diameter and 100mm height.

Different sizes could be generated using the included Fusion360 file and changing the parameters to your needs.

All includes files were printed using a standard Prusa i3 MK3S (sequential printing might not work on other printers and has to be changed).

My work was inspired by this model https://www.printables.com/de/model/65922-silica-gel-spool-container.

How to get your own dimensions:

  1. Open Fusion360 file
  2. Check/adapt your printer sizes using the user parameters in Fusion360
  3. Export the the needed files as 3MF
  4. Open the included standard projects for each part in Prusa slicer
  5. Right click on the part an use replace STL (works also for 3MF)
  6. Check if position of the part is correct
  7. Select your favorite print settings (all test were done with several kinds of PETG)
  8. Assemble als the parts. Start with inserting the wall into the bottom part until you hear a click. Insert the wall connector and click in the top part.
