I changed the position and length of where the camera would mount. I found that you can use cheap harbor freight screws as tripod screws, so I just bolt my action cam right on it. I liked the concept of the original. The reason I was using this design is because I do automated printing more often then time lapses. I need the middle to be mostly clear for part clearing.

Spring guide
Bed handle
Camera mount
While providing a useful handle when the bed is hot, the spring guides strengthen the bed and less leveling will be needed.
