*perfect* model to troubleshoot with Prusa support!
I wasn't able to successfully print with my newly installed MMU3. Thinking of course it had something to do with my unit, the PTFE paths, the slicers, .. you name it! As a last resort I contacted support. We talked some back and fort, I showed some pics of the first layers ... and he said: ow your plate _must_ be just very very greasy. I tested with the smooth sheet and .. voila! perfect print!
Yes I felt like a complete n00b for not thinking about the plate. I did an IPA clean but that was not enough here.
This should be your first model when you first assembled the MMU3 unit. very very handy! and useful after it prints, in that it shows the current colors. Even usefull as a nice display model to show to people when explaining how things work. I like printing things that are super versatile as a test :D so thanks!! (edited)
Great model to test the MMU-unit.
It has 100 swap, 20 x 5 color. Enough to check if the unit is assembled, aligned correctly. Had some issues with the first print, but that was 100% alignment of the pullies. So thank you for this model, it helped a lot!
Thanks! I used this model in my MMU3 MK4 assembly video - https://youtu.be/aO5o-yvxhZE (edited)
Struggling with my MMU3 and old MK3 (with almost a year of total print time on the machine.) Rebuilt the hot end and was able to get this to print with only 2 interventions. Progress!
First print ever! 80 tool changes: taught me (make sure right temperature or blobs, don't use cardboard spools or friction, don't use brittle filament, remove twists, use a 3mm ID tube or stuck in tube, etc) (edited)
