This super strong hook attaches to a wall with a 2.5" or longer #8 drywall screw. There is a thread-on cover that goes on the end to cover the screw head. I have included two covers, a plain round one and a gear shaped one, you only need one. The cover could easily be modified and customized to any shape or color.
These were printed in PLA, but still hold at least 18 kg (40 lbs) when attached directly to wood, see picture. If you hang it on a drywall or plaster wall you will need a longer screw to hit a stud, or the wall material will limit the strength.
For best results make sure to print the threaded areas with thin layers (0.15 mm worked for me). I used variable layer height on the hook piece to speed up the print in the less detailed areas.
I included the original Autodesk Inventor files (.ipt) so you can modify them easily if you have access to that program.
