Will fit 4mm (~1/8") diameter paracords. Eyelet diameter is 7mm (little over ¼").
Obviously not suitable for safety relevant applications.
2022-03-15 | v3 | complete redesign with smaller dimensions, shorter screw (M3x8mm) and additional clamp only variant |
2022-03-10 | v2 | easier assembly and better eyelet stability through parallel guide; variable layer height |
2022-03-09 | v1 | initial public release |
The 3mf file includes all basic settings, and works as tested on my Mk3s with standard PETG and 0.25mm nozzle.
Some adjustments may be needed for individual cases:
0.) Use a tool that suits your chosen screw head. Screw is M3 x 8mm, nut is M3.
1.) Place the nut inside the cavity.
2.) Place the paracord into the thimble, place the screw in the clamp plate, and place the latter above the cord, tighten the screw for 1-2 turns, adjust the cord to your needs.
3.) Take care not to squash the outer wrap of the cord between the closing edges.
4.) Tighten the screw entirely, so the gap between eyelet body and clamp plate closes.
Please comment if something can be improved, or if it works for you. Also, don't forget to share makes and application examples!
