Just a pad that helps seat the AR15's stock against your shoulder... Slips easily on the Brownell MilSpec and stays put. This makes standing shoulder firing so much more pleasant. The diamond-check pattern on the OE stock is downright painful in a t-shirt, especially pressed up against your collar bone.

This only works in flexible filament. If you print this in PLA, Nylon, PETG, etc, I have to ask... WHY?!

This version has about five or six millimeters of cushion area.

There is a new version with some simple texture marked "RFHP" (Ribbed For Her Pleasure). This should help anchor it on your shoulder in the vertical plane.

If you made it and like it, PLEASE post a make! I'd love to see this on someone else's rifle.

Print Settings

Printer:

Anet A8

Rafts:

Doesn't Matter

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

.2mm

Infill:

10% Gyroid provided the best feel

Filament:

I have no idea. TPU

Black, but whatever floats your boat, buddy.

Notes:

Using cura, you'll want supports everywhere at 50 degrees or more and a support z distance of about point two millimeters. Use the concentric pattern and 20%. That will allow you to remove the support under the ledge that holds it onto the end of the buttstock.

Use an infill pattern of 10% gyroid for the ultimate in squishy comfort. I mean, it's not like .223 has any kick in the first place, but...

Slips on easily and works well with my jacket. Version "RFHP" has been published with a couple of grooves cut in it to help keep it from sliding if you happen to be out shooting wearing a rayon pantsuit or whatever. Weirdo.

If you print that one, you're going to want to use rafts with a .25 air gap. At least, that's the settings I went with. Your results may vary.

Post-Printing

REMOVE THE SUPPORT

If you printed it properly, there's going to be a little thing under the interior ledges that you should be able to just hook with a fingernail and tear out. Don't forget to do that, as it won't fit well otherwise.
