Nice and sturdy x axis. Made is out of Polymaker PA12 CF. Clears the LGX shortcut perfectly.

Beautiful print! Love the textured-matte finish of the PA12-CF filament. Glad you like the design! 😊
is this compatible with the standard carriage and hotend set up? (edited)
Anyone with linear guide installed with this extruder in mk3s? (edited)
Hello, do you know if this will work for the non-short cut bondtech lgx mosquito extruder?
First, it is excelent design and also material selection is awesome ;) Exactly what i am looking for, but please help... Is there any problem (on this shortcut mosquito setup) print materials like PC CF or PLA/PET-G? I read about that this is only super for FF and other filament will clog now or later because short heatbreak and not enough cooling. If it is trrue, ill start thinking to add another cooler on oposite side (original, it has swapable side mounting i think) and make some special support to attach fan shroud facing forward.
Are you not interested in using linear rail?
@StepBySteppDesigns my apologize for confusing you...
i just bought the LGX, but i still want to keep my linear rail.
because of prusa's linear rod&lm8uu is noisy (i have a bad luck)
Since i dont have X carriage for lgx, i downloaded the carriage from bondtech itself, but sadly bondtech doesnt have carriage for linear rail, they have for stock LM8UU & rod.
and then i found this https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4811408
and your design of x idler & x end.
i tried my best to edit your's design (motor end & idler) to replace top hole from rod, to linear rail hole.
when i tried to assembly... i got an X axis error... i dont know..
i tried to reach some 3d modeller on fiverr and ready to pay them but they are seems not interested on my problem.
i wonder if you dont mind do you willing to redesign of your motor end & idler & carriage for LGX using MGN12 Linear rail? i know this is a hassle request but i am willing to become your patron if you have patreon
thank you for listening to my problem. i am so happy i found a creator that replies to the comment nowadays.
I think I'm following now. I can take a look at the motor and idler ends of my x-axis upgrade. I did not redesign the carriage in these efforts (I used the Bondtech design, specific to the LGX Shortcut option), so would be unable to do any work on that front since it would mean needing to start from scratch and I don't currently have the bandwidth to do that.
With that in mind, which files from the previously used https://www.printables.com/model/16838-prusa-mk3-mk3s-mk3s-x-axis-linear-rail-guide-upgra upgrade did you use before procuring the LGX upgrade? That will give me a basis of necessary dimensions to do the edits to my original CAD files. (edited)
@BaGooN Glad it worked for you! Looks gorgeous in the semi-translucent filament! Thanks for the make and review. Cheers!
Hallo, ist das mit ein standart mk3s hotend kompatibel ?
Hello, is this compatible with a standard mk3s hotend ?
@JULASCH While I haven't personally tested the design with the stock MK3S hotend, I see no geometric / mechanical reason why this upgrade would be incompatible. Given this design is based on the Boogie upgrade mentioned in the description of this upgrade, yes, this upgrade should be compatible.
