I've had this popular RPM meter sitting in my project bin for over a year so I decided to mount it today. I see a number of youtube video's displaying how to wire it up so I won't go their other than a quick schematic I've included.
Basically it just a snap together case with a couple of mounting tabs. Uses a simple on off switch and a 9 volt battery. You can hook from 8-24 vdc but I will only turn it on briefly to check the rpm of my Jet BD920 and then turn it off. You can find it on Banggood's website as a package of the meter, wire cable, hall sensor and magnet.
Pictures show the mounting of the Hall effect sensor on the lathe. The magnet is glued to the belt shaft with about 3mm clearance.
I see a lot of downloads of my lathe attachments so I hope you all can make use of this as well.
Cheers
