I made a few colour changes

Posting the make of my own model....So pleased with how this came out!

For the metallic finish, take a look at DO3D's tutorial video (https://www.do3d.com/forum/3d-printing-tips-tricks/the-smoothest-finish-with-chrome-paint). I more or less follow his advice (not quite to the letter). After you spray the last coat....DONT TOUCH IT FOR AT LEAST 4 DAYS or it will pick up fingerprints (which mine did....because I am not patient....)

Paint, wires, and the 3/4" rod are from my local Big Orange Store. D-Ring is is from a local fabric store (large chain....rhymes with Bo Anne's). Screws are all form old hard drives (I'm sure someone is going to mention that the original prop didn't use Torx screws. Yeah...I know. For some reason, I just started using Torx screws on my prop builds. Kinda a signature. So sue me ;) ). The T-Tracks are painted in a plasti-dip product to give them a more rubber feel.

Everything is printed in eSun Black PLA+, except the strip on the clamp, which is translucent Overture PETG.

I designed the tolerances a smidge tight, so I had to sand back several of the overlap areas to get it together the final time. The only glue I used was to attach the clamp block to the body, all else is either screwed or press fit. Depending on your printer, your milage may vary here.

The pic with the two sabers is this one next to my Disney Legacy saber which inspired this little quest.
