The XF-11 experimental reconnaissance aircraft has to be one of my favourite looking aircraft of all time. Designed by Howard Hughes in the 1940's, it was fitted with 2 sets of contra-rotating props and controllable-pitch propellers. On its maiden flight in 1946, piloted by Hughes himself, it resulted in a near fatal crash totalling the craft. A second was later built with a single 4-bladed prop on each boom, but was ultimately never adopted.
Included is the full kit card along with the individual parts files and a frameless version for those uninterested in the format.
If it's still a little wobbly, try increasing the Z axis (uppy-downy) by 10-20%!
Bribes accepted for any edits... ;)
**If printing the individual parts, be sure to print:
4x XF-11_Prop
2x XF-11_Boom
2x XF-11_Connector
2x XF-11_Wing_Outer**
Always love seeing your makes! Thank you :)

Notes:
It's a nice snap fit for me and my printer, results may vary! To tweak the tightness, simply increase or decrease the Z height in your slicer, otherwise a little glue can go a long way!
No tools required, however I would recommend some wire snippers and a small blade for clean-up :) Category: ModelsThe author marked this model as their own original creation. Imported from Thingiverse.
