I came across u/lumpytuna's laser-cut ferret pendant on Reddit and thought, "I could print that!" So I did.
Just in time for holiday decor and gift giving season.
(With permission) I made this version by re-tracing the image in u/lumpytuna's post as a vector, then extruded the two colors proportionally for printing. For the best results at any scale, I ended up with three slightly different versions with varying amounts of detail in the face. All are roughly 100mm tall by default.

Notes:
Regardless of which version you print, choose a smaller-than-usual extrusion width for your nozzle if you can. This will allow you to resolve more detail in the face. Smaller layer heights will also reduce unsightly blobs or banding on the top layers.
For dual-color printing (like seen above) on a mono-color printer, pause your print during any of the last few layers and swap filaments. Alternatively, you may be able to feed in a new color towards the end of the print without pausing. Category: AnimalsThe author marked this model as their own original creation.
