The display should work with all Hotwheels RTR Spec 5 Ford Mustang if more get released.
The display base is separated into 4 parts for easy printing and colour swap. The parts are:
1) Angled base (Oval3.STL)
2) Base (BaseV1.STL)
3) Base back wall (BoxBackAssemV3.STL)
4) Smoke effect (smoke_cut_2.STL and smoke_cut_smaller.STL)
The smoke effect is cut out from here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:427789
Nozzle size = 0.4 mm (minimum, smaller better)
Layer height = 0.2 mm
Filament change layer for colours on "BoxBackAssemV3":
1) Start (Center section colour, mine is in black)
2) Layer 16 (Center pattern, left and right side colour, mine is in grey)
3) Layer 21 (Left side triangle pattern colour, mine is in white)
4) Layer 26 ("Funhaver" background colour, mine is in yellow)
5) Layer 31 ("Fun-Haver", "Vaughn Gittin Jr" and "RTR Spec 5" background colour, mine is in black)
6) Layer 36 ("Fun-Haver", "Vaughn Gittin Jr" and "RTR Spec 5" lettering colour, mine is in white)
7) Layer 41 ("xx" pattern under "Vaughn Gittin Jr" name, mine is in green)
8) Layer 46 (Crossout beside the "xx" pattern under "Vaughn Gittin Jr" name, mine is in blue)
Smoke effect printing:
1) Smoke effect will need to be scale down to 20% of its size to fit into the box.
2) The more rounded smoke effect is build up of "smoke_cut_2.STL" and "smoke_cut_smaller.STL" inside cura, you will need to mirror "smoke_cut_smaller.STL"
3) The smoke effect near the back plate is "smoke_cut_2.STL"
The car is tied with metal wire through the holes on the angled base. Back plate should slide in nicely into the display base.
Smoke effect is stick on to the base plate with double sided tape.
Feel free to send me any feedback on how to improve the design. Suggestion on display base designs are welcomed too.
