This is a remix of the Filament Spool Rack for 20qt Sterilite Container by leefla - Thingiverse which tweaked a couple of elements/dimensions from the original design.
These rack ends are designed to work with 3/8" (9.5mm) diameter aluminum or steel rods to make a spool rack which sits above loose desiccant in a Sterilite 20 Qt. gasket box (P/N 19324306). I found that the diameter of the 3/8" rods isn't well controlled during manufacturing and were typically too big to fit in the holes of the original design, so I redesigned the brackets by making the holes larger and adding splines to allow for a bigger variability of rod diameter. Like the original design, the rods should be cut to approximately 12-¾" (325mm) long.
Like the original designer, I am also using activated Alumina as a desiccant. I put about 1lb (454 gm) of 3/16" media in the bottom of each box and it easily keeps the humidity below 10% for 6+ months before needed to be re-dried again. It can be re-dried in the oven and is more tolerant of higher temperatures than silica. I usually re-dry it around 375F (190C) for three hours. When I see the humidity in the box is starting to get above 25% I know it's time to re-dry. The downside to the activated Alumina is that it is very dusty compared to silica.
