good work i miss the step whit all things in 1 to better make new updates.

Does the motor for locking and unlocking use a servo connection or a connection like XYZ motors.

HI, I am trying to get this working, but the instructions are not so easy.
I installed the plugin
downloaded your configs and uploaded.
I am stuck with an error
Section 'toollock' is not a valid config section

who should I be asking for help ?

@leejsmith This may be due to the version of the plugin, IIRC it may have been renamed and so toollock is now ktcc_toollock or such, there is also a new v2 version of the plugin. I can boot up my printer tomorrow and check the config as the version on github is quite old.

I am also on the VCore Discord, there is a toolchanger channel if you want to discuss there.

@psyvision hi, I just shared in the toolhead-v-vore-3 section

Question about the Spring:
So the wire should be 1mm thick and the spring should be 15mm long. I understand. But what is the diameter of the spring?
---------------
Then the 15/16mm standoff´s:
With thread? If so, which one? What diameter should the standoff have?
---------------
On the subject of hotend: Does a Dragon ST also work? What about Orbiter V2?

Is there a BOM coming for the V2 tool?

---------------

Is there a complete STEP with all parts in it? That way I could answer most of my questions myself.

Thank you :)

@MarcoLehmann_565253

The internal diameter (ID) of the spring is the important aspect, the E3D spindle is M5/5mm so you want close to that. Will see if I can find a link to the one I purchased.

The standoffs are M3 threaded hex ones. I don't know what the diameter is, it's pretty standard

I don't know if a Dragon ST has the same fixings as a HT. An Orbiter V2 does work, I use one on the V2 tools I have made.

The V2 tooling is fully functional and much better, I'm not sure if I have a BOM together really but if you have heat inserts and a set of M3 screws in various sizes you will be fine.

@psyvision

thank you for the fast reaction

I'm already printing the first parts.

I'm curious when the things from E3D from England will arrive. Unfortunately, they are needed. And here in Germany you can't get any of it.

Greetings! :) (edited)

Are the dimensions the same as the E3D tool head?

Hey, cool design! Just two more questions: a. which size of the vcore and which open front modification did u build? b. Does the tool changer take place from the build volume or is the vcore bigger than it usually is?

How did you implement the tool change in your printers frimware?

@Joseu_378901 I use klipper and a specific plugin for it. On the Details tab, if you scroll down to Software Configuration it has the plugin used and also a link to a git repository that has my configuration stored.

Hello, would it be possible to share .STEP assembly of the whole head? Pretty please :)
