Great mod, way stiffer than the rods.

I cut a hole using the slicer in the channel behind the Y axis motor mount so I could run the cables through that to bring them over to the side with the control box.

After using the squash ball feet for 6 months, I gave up on them as they slowly deform and end up flat. I created my own feet that go in the feet slots.

@Phat3R_123593 What are the brackets you are using for under the frame???

You may want to test this with the Prusa Bearing metal clips. They are kind of hexagonal and won't fit cleanly in the rounded bearing locations like you have in your model.

Great design! I've made some very minor tweaks (added bear-like belt tensioner and detachable squash ball feets). The y-axis is really stiff, printed in PET-G with 7 perimeters and 0.2 resolution.

Great job, have just used them on a retrofit MK2.5 clone build to make use of an E3d Titan Aero that's been collecting dust since I bought it. Anyway, nice to see the original -SPIRIT- of Rep-Rap still lives on out there.

@pcky This is pretty cool! I also just upgraded my MK2S to MK2.5S+ and am wondering if you are still happy with your design. (edited)

@LongDono Thanks for your feedback! There are plenty of people, happy with this upgrade: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2836470/makes

@pcky_220851 Thanks, great to see you received a lot of feedback on it. I'm using a Printer-Box squash ball feet mod that also connect to the front/rear rods for support, so I'll have to figure out a way to adapt that or try to go without it. Cheers.
