I wanted to be able to quickly print individual compartments in Spiral Vase Mode to create a sorting tray for screws/bolts/nuts for assembly of my upcoming MK3S+. I create a simple design for a 45mm x 45mm x 20mm tray with dovetails to connect one compartment to another.
I used a 0.4mm nozzle, Spiral vase mode (Print Settings -> Layers and perimeters -> Vertical shells -> Spiral vase), changed the External perimeters print width to 0.6 (Print Settings -> Advanced -> External perimeters) and printed away. Selecting Spiral vase mode also changes the perimeters to 1, the top layers to 0, and the infil to 0%.
The design worked fine at the default 0.45 for external perimeters as well, but the tolerances were a bit too tight at 0.8.
I printed in Atomic Filament Perfect Red PETG on my Mini+. Some compartments can be a little difficult to slide together, but I've been able to connect all 5 that I have printed without too much trouble. The layer lines and tight connections keep the compartments from separating without some effort.
If you want to print 2+ on the same sheet, you can go to Print Settings -> Output Options -> and check Complete individual objects, although on my Mini+, I had to give a little more space than PrusaSlicer requires for this setting because my SuperPinda holder bumped into the other parts otherwise.
