Display Case for Ikea Kallax

This simple yet slick display case for the Ikea Kallax shelf is designed around a 3mm thick acrylic glass sheet. The acrylic glass can be sourced online quite cheaply and has a amazingly clean look.

There are two versions available for download - Type B is my recommended one since it makes it very easy to access the display case.

Dimensions: 332x332x3mm
Costs: around 5€ per sheet

Before you start:
Try to fit the display case into the shelf first without glueing to ensure a good fit. Because of the varying dimensions of the Ikea shelves there might be some tolerance work to be done.

Please share your own experiences with the tolerances.
(for referance: my shelves vary from 335mm to 337mm)

How to assemble:
Make sure the corners are grease free (for me there was a plastic wrap applied to both sides) and apply some superglue (cyanoacrylat) to one side of a corner. Insert the sheet into a panel holder of your choice and press it on for a couple of seconds (flat side). Repeat for all corners and let the glue harden.
