A friend of mine has decided to upgrade his printer with linear bearings for his hotbed. For the Y-axis it is used a 4080 C-beam. He asked me to design and print the plastic parts.

Components available
Version 1.0

  • increase the size of the slot for the bearings for the bed holder and the bearing caps

Version 0.1

  • bed holder - a two part bed adapter carriage without holes for mounting
  • bearing caps - for attaching the bearing to the bed holder. Used bearings are compact LMUU12mm (check attached image with specs for more information)
  • rod holders - 12mm rod holders
  • solid works files - archive with all solid works files used for design

  • 4 x compact linear bearings D12mm (check attached image for more information)
  • 2 x linear bearings rods D12mm
    ### Rod holders

  • 4 x M3 hex nuts

  • 4 x M3x20 bolts
  • 8 x M4x25 bolts
  • 8 x M4 T-nuts
    ### Bed holder and bearing caps

  • 16 x M3 square nuts

  • 16 x M3x10 bolts
  • additional nuts and bolts for attaching the bed plate to the adapter. Depend on the type of bed plate and used bolts for the wheels
  • if you are using a induction sensor, it might be a good idea to replace it with mechanical switch
  • some spacers or nylon nuts to adjust the height of the belt carrtrage
