A lid for a “Mason” jar that provides a pour spout as well as a opening for a measuring spoon and a leveling edge.
Print in PET-G (though I am sure PLA would work as well) at 0.2 layer height. The “base” is printed without support, but the “door” required a small amount on the build plate for the “ears” that extend behind the hinge pin.
The two parts are joined using a tool to snap the hinge pin on the door into the base.
1. put the door inside the opening in the base and open the door fully
2. using a flat tool, like a screwdriver, snap the hinge pins on either side of the door into the notches in the base. (See photo). This works best if you install the base into a jar and screw the ring on tightly first.
DON'T try to press these into the notch with out a tool as the hinge pins will break off.
