After a lot of prototyping now my final version.
KEY FEATURES

- both halfs have the same height to ensure same grip surface
- big spindle diameter for fast spooling
- due to the split design it works on low cost printers
- can be scaled if you want smaller or bigger Spooly
- small wedge opening to open with screwdriver - no broken fingernails
For best results use the original or small design all walls have 0.8 or 1.2 so perfect for 0.4nozzle. But both designs are as well easy scalable. If you do 66% you get diameter 50 for slim cables like earphones. See photos.
All designs can be interchanged like Voronoi cover and honeycomb base.
Printing
- 2 perimeters
- Prusament PLA works best
- 15% infill
- 0.2mm layer
- 0.12mm layer if you scale down the model to 66%
- prints best with line width set to 0.4mm - most walls are 0.8 or 1.2mm thick
