Winch created for a project in an electronics course where the main goal was to use and drive a BLDC motor by FPGA.

This 3D-printed winch is equipped with

  • a Moog BN34-35EN 500W brushless DC motor
  • a Heidenhain ERN 420 encoder
  • a Digilent Zybo Z10 FPGA board
  • custom 500W/24V 3-Phase bridge

It can pull at least 5 kg when powered by a 6S LiIon battery.

To use an other motor and/or encoder, the parts around those items have to be modified accordingly. The inntermediate gear and the spool require 3 pieces 6203 ball bearings (d/D x W = 17/40 x 12mm) .
