Description

PDF

OEM knob for speaker stands stripped and I needed a replacement but didn't want to wait for shipping… or to pay retail for some shoddy part that's going to fail again quickly.

Variable Layer height

5 top layers

5 bottom layers

25% Triangle infill

Additional Parts:
You'll need a 5/16 or 8mm bolt in the appropriate length and the matching nut. I used 2.5in/65mm.

Assembly:
(this is what I did… If your printer is better tuned than mine you may just be able slide the bolt in)

  1. Thread bolt from narrow end to wide
(i did this to push out supports that were probably unnecessary)
  2. Thread bolt from Wide to narrow as far as you can, aligning the hex head with the hole in the knob
  3. Hand thread the nut on to the bolt, all the way to the knob
  4. Tighten the nut using a wrench or pliers, drawing the bolt head into the knob
  5. If bolt is loose in knob glue or otherwise affix in place

Note:
My speaker stands used a smaller nut than I could find. The standard issue 5/16 nuts (or 8mm for that matter) didn't recess into the stands properly, but things tightened fine. If you have bolts that match the old nuts, you may be able to use the OE nuts. I didn't.
