Anti-vibration feet for Ender 3 and other printers with 4040 V-Slot profile

Feet that ensure that the vibrations of the printer are not transmitted to the table, for quiet printing.

These feet here are designed for all printers, which are using V-Slot 4040 extrusions as frame. So if these feet are working with your printer, and your printer is not listed yet, please tell me, so I can add the printer to the list.

Known printers to work with:

  • Ender 3
  • Ender 3 V2 (Take the version for one slot for the rear profiles)
  • Voxelab Aquila
  • Tevo Tarantula
  • Creality CR10 V2 (use 2-slot high) 
  • Anycubic Vyper

Now there are multiple different versions, for 1, 2 and 3 slots (and with and without slip protections, and with standard, low and heigh profile). 

In addition, there is now a foot to screw on, with a hole for M5 screws. This one cannot be printed hollow like the other feet because of the hole, but it will be printed with the default settings. You can screw the foot anywhere, even if you have no profiles at all.

Please note: These feet cannot reduce the virbrations of the printer. They only ensure that the vibrations are not transmitted to the table. But they do that very well without making the printer too wobbly. When you're weighing whether or not to print these feet, look for reviews of my well known feet for Prusa MINI and Prusa i3 MK3.

To all those who think that the printer has stronger ringing (or ghosting) with the feet: The opposite seems to be the case, as Tom Sanladerer has found out. Here is a link to his video about ringing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWxpN_Sw5Pg&t=310s Many thanks to Tom.

If you are worried about the printer slipping with these feet, use the files with "slipprotection". With these, you can clamp a piece of rubber you cut from a bicycle inner tube directly into the feet. But of course it can also be an advantage that the printer slips easily. This way, the printer can be easily rotated in a housing.

Print instructions

This design is solid so you can determine the thickness of the feet by the number of shells in your slicer (not for the screw_foot).

I recommend 3 Shells (for 0.4 nozzle), no infill, no top layers, no bottom layers, Seam position Random, laying on the side. Use PETG or ASA. PLA is also working, but a bit stiffer.

The srew_foot can be printed with default settings.

You can use 4 feet or 6 feet.
