Nice design. Very tight fit. Thanks!

is it possible to provide step files?

@3DLayersLab I'll work on it, but it'll take some time as I'm out of town and away from my computer.

I absolutely LOVE IT 😍 One of my best prints so far

@DS_3032359 looks great! I particularly like how cozy the pour over setup looks. (edited)

Probably one of the most satisfying organizers I've ever printed. Everything works well. Tolerances are pretty tight and it seems like there may be a zero clearance between some of the male tabs, but it makes everything feel like one piece once you have it all lined up (had to use a rubber mallet on one piece to get it flush).

I remixed the 2x2 blank to fit some specific needs. It features a 145mm hole in the front to slide my scale into. The bin for my oxo grinder can then be placed through a hole in the top so I can measure the grounds.

The two tone side panels were a mistake (ran out of brown) but I think it like it that way anyways.

Thanks for the model! (edited)

@BLawlz glad you found it helpful! Thank you for the generous compliment. I definitely intended for the tolerances to be close so you could move the whole thing together and not have things slop around, but needing a mallet isn't what I had in mind. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I'll take a closer look (edited)

Hey Awesome design! Think you could upload the solid files, STP or Parasolid? I would love to make some custom blocks for my 58mm Rancilio Silvia as well as a WDT tool and and funnel that I printed to catch the grounds when coming out of my hopper. STL files are just a hassle to modify.

@Limit_260779 for what it's worth, I use onShape and found that using boolean modifiers to join or subtract extrusions from the stl worked best in the absence of a step file. Just had to sketch the shape of the hole or cutout, extrude it as a new solid part, and then use a boolean tool to subtract it from the block. Generated less errors that way

Awesome modular knock box, possibilities are endless! (edited)

Awesome design! Waiting for someone with experience to make a 58MM version!

This is awesome. I wish there was a block with 51mm portafilter size. Good luck with the contest.

I agree with the others, this is a great design! I love how the modular design allows me to customize it to fit the coffee gear I have. I’ll have to see about extending it to fit my OG-style WDT and portafilter funnel. I noticed that the normcore portafilter’s handle is too heavy to sit on the adjustable bolt without tilting past it - might have to try your other bolt design. (edited)

@DrawnToDigital love it! The black and white combo is striking and it goes well with your countertop.

I also found that the support screw was very portafilter-dependent. It worked great with some portafilters and was too close to the basket on others. That's why I made the side panel option that includes an extended support. I plan to add some other configuration options for that, so stay tuned.

Also, if you have other ideas on how to solve the problem, I 100% support you playing around with the model and really making it your own! I'm really hoping this design catches on and I get to see all the different blocks people make. (edited)

I didn't print this, but this totally blows my design out of the water. Beautiful design.

@dinkdoodlez_549229 Thanks for the kind words! I like your design too. The storage under the main level is a great idea. I love efficient use of space!

WOW looks beautiful! Do you plan to create the blocks for 58mm portafilter, wdt etc? Or do you know how much to scale the available part that it fits to 58 mm?

@Almondtofu I would gladly test or even donate a 58MM porta filter and accessories. This is awesome looking!
