I recently picked up a 14TB Western Digital Elements hard drive and noticed when placed in a vertical orientation that it wobble back and forth if I bumped my desk. This is a disaster waiting to happen.
So I designed up this vertical stand to securely hold the drive in place. The bottom of the stand is cut through to allow the convection cooling for the drive to continue to function. I highly recommend adding some rubber bumpers/feet to the bottom of the stand to give it some extra grip and allow for cool air to circulate up under it.
