Description

Screw holes are 4.5 mm in diameter.

Magnet slots make it great to slap on side of a steel tool chest or other metal surface.

See below for a link to the right disk magnets.

This holder is designed for this set of T-Key allen wrenches:

EKLIND 55166 Cushion Grip Hex T-Key allen wrench - 6pc set Metric MM sizes 2-6 (6In shaft)

These are great quality tools, and affordable too. I have two sets just in case I have a lot going on!

Regarding the two mounting options:

For magnets, these are the ones it's designed for:

Neodymium Disc 12 x 3 mm

For screws, it depends on what you're screwing into. The screw holes are 4.5 mm in diameter.

I have my two sets magnetically mounted — one on a steel tool chest, and one on my band saw, because it's nearer to my assembly table.

The magnets just get CA-glued in place.

Note: On my US General tool chest from Harbor Freight, the top draw can open with the holder mounted, and the next drawer down can also open without having to move anything.

Printing tips:

  • Print as oriented
  • No supports needed
  • Perimeter walls: 2
  • Infill: Adaptive Cubic at 10%
  • If you want to get two-color treatment like I did, with the tool size highlighted in a different color, all you have to do is add (in your slicer) a pause (M25) at about layer #253 (give or take) which just happens to be at a Z height of 70.84 mm. Adding this in OrcaSlicer is easy — just look for a YouTube video on it if you're not familiar. I'm including my OrcaSlicer setup as a .3mf file, which includes the M25 pause, and you can use the setup for reference, or perhaps even for printing.

I printed this on an excellent, affordable, fast, CoreXY printer called Flashforge Adventurer 5M (or AD5M for short).  As of when I first posted this, Amazon is offering a $100-off coupon for the AD5M! Here's an affiliate link to it: https://amzn.to/4bmKWFY

Speaking of which, below are some other cool options for the AD5M…
