This is a fully custom-built 3D printer enclosure designed to fit inside a closet. It is specifically sized to accommodate two Voron V0 printers—one existing and one future 247-style build. Each printer is mounted on a turntable (with a locking mechanism still in development) and placed on a sliding drawer system, allowing easy access for maintenance by pulling them out of the closet.

Features

  • Air Filtration System: The enclosure includes two air filtration paths for external ventilation and two for internal air purification, ensuring a controlled environment for printing.
  • Sliding Door Mechanism: A custom sliding door design provides easy access while maintaining enclosure integrity.
  • Smart Control: An ESP-based system hosts a web GUI for managing fans and lighting, with planned future integration into Home Assistant via ESPHome.
  • Integrated Network Connectivity: A built-in D-LINK DGS-105GL/E network switch enables a wired Ethernet connection for reliable printer communication (requires a 3D-printed housing for proper mounting).
  • LED Lighting with Diffusers: Integrated LED Diffuser Profiles ensure softer, more indirect lighting inside the enclosure.

Additional Notes

The CAD files for this enclosure are available. While the design is well thought out, there may be areas where the design process was not entirely optimized. Some openings are not visible in the design, but templates for a router are available to create them accurately.
