Description

PDF

A low-profile case for the Aurora Sofle V2 keyboard kit by splitkb. Designed for the Choc hotswap kit, based on plate files provided by splitkb (https://github.com/splitkb/aurora). Includes a window for the OLED screen, but excludes the switch hole for the rotary encoder.

Printing recommendations:

  • Print with the largest flat faces facing down (orientation in the file should already correspond to the final print orientation).
  • No supports, except for the “OLED windows” of the top case parts (use support painting).

Assembly requirements:

  • 8 M2 heat-set threaded inserts (for the bottom parts, hole depth is 5.5mm so preferably inserts less than 5mm long).
  • 8 M2 screws (around 5-8mm long).

Disclaimer: This design is done with respect to what I already had for my keyboard kit, and due to the nature of certain through-hole hand-soldered components (microcontroller, TRRS jacks, OLED screen), the clearances around these parts might be either too loose or too tight. I can't guarantee that it will fit all Aurora Sofle V2 low profile kits.
