This model is for a modified spring and cable retainer clip for the Creality K1 or K1C.

If you have experienced issues with X-axis friction on your printer, a common solution suggested on Reddit is to either remove the springs that are compressing the linear bearing or to clip the springs 3mm shorter. I wanted to maintain some force against the bearing without cutting the springs down so I designed this new clip to retain the springs but with about 3mm of extra space behind them.

I printed this with PLA+ since that's all I had, but this part should definitely be printed in the most heat resistant material you have on hand. You can print on the flat outward face with no supports, but the screw holes will be a little sloppy. You can add supports if you choose,

I'm also using this clip without a zip tie holding the cable in place as the clip itself presses it firmly against the housing. I'm not sure if this is a great idea, so I'd recommend a zip tie if you have one. You may need to subtract some additional space depending on how thick yours are.

I'm currently testing this on my own printer and will post updates if I notice issues, but as with most modifications for your printer you are performing this at your own risk. You are ultimately responsible for the pieces you add and remove to your printer.
