UPDATE (3/24/2025): It was brought to my attention that the tension arm for the original WWG2 is not compatible. Some people were having issues with the tensioning screw alignment. I have included the correct tension arm in the repository.

UPDATE (2/11/2025): I uploaded a new model. I found there to be too much friction between the filament and the ball bearing. This was caused by the limit switch being too close. Therefore, I moved the limit switch mounting holes 0.25mm away. Now there is MUCH less drag on the filament and the extruder motor does not have to work as hard.

This mod was originally created by @bythorsthunder on github ( see the provided link). I found their model to be difficult to print and tolerances too tight. So I opened up most all tolerances and increased the interference of the ball bearings with the filament. This opened up the gap for the filament to interact with the ball bearings much easier. You should have a greater chance of success when printing this model.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

  1. Widened filament channel very slightly to allow smoother filament travel.
  2. Widened the ball bearing channels so the bearing could roll smoother with the filament.
  3. Cut the bearing channels further into the filament channel to promote more interference between the ball bearings and the filament.
  4. Moved the limit switch mounting holes closer since the ball bearings will be further into the filament channel.
  5. Widened the alignment channels of the back plate due to interference in the original model.
