Your favorite test cube and your favorite cubic foldable robot in a print-in-place, beautiful package!

I can’t tell if you’ll be more frightened of the QB-01 robot, or if it will be more frightened of you. However, you can find out by printing your own!

Important: QuBenchy is still a challenging benchmark, and will put your printer to the test.

Printing

  • QB-01 is a print-in-place assembly and requires no supports.
  • On Bambu Sutdio, change "Wall generator: Classic" to "Wall generator: Archane" to enable variable wall thickness and print 0.4mm walls even with a 0.4mm nozzle.

What is QuBenchy?

An open, fast, light, compact and complete 3D printing benchmark to test and compare not only printers, printing profiles and filaments, but also the behavior and finishing of multiple design choices and features on all orientations, e.g. chamfer vs fillet vs sharp edges, wall thickness, embossing, engravings, round vs polygonal shapes, textures, overhangs, and much more!

More than 80 different tests and features packed into a convenient 3x3x3cm torture test cube that's easy to print, evaluate, compare and store.

What is BoxBot?

BoxBot B-01 is the first in a series of print-in-place robot figurines that fold up into cubes. The model features 10 3D printed hinges that operate 4 moveable legs and 2 cannons that fold out from the robot's main body. The print requires no support material but a knife may be required to separate the cannons from the body. Check out the assembly video.
