This is a flowmeter that works by the venturi effect.

The formula to calculate the flow speed is:
c1 = sqrt( 2 (p1 - p2) / rho (A1^2/A2^2 - 1))

In this case r1 = 2mm and r2 = 0.9mm. The fluid is also usually pressurized air where we know the pressure and temperature not the density so we use the ideal gase law and assume T=290K so that the formula becomes:

84.4 m/s^2 sqrt((p1-p2)/p1)

To measure the pressure, a differential pressure sensor such as the MPX5500 is needed. it can be easily conncted to the pressure measurement points by small pieces of flexible plastic tubing.
The same tubing (6mm OD, 4mm ID) is used to connect to the flowmeter.

Notes:

Resin that has accumulated in the nozzle and in the two pressure tap-off holes should be thoroughly cleaned out before curing.
