Magnetic tags to track various conditions or statuses on initiative trackers atop a DM screen.

I made my own initiative trackers for my home game from cheap craft wood, and I embedded a small magnet into the top edge.

My plan was to be able to stick small, cylindrical map magnets onto it when I needed a reminder that a player was concentrating. Eventually I wanted to use this to track various different conditions or statuses that may be in effect from a spell or similar situation. Using different colored magnets was my initial thought, but I (and any players who cared) would then need to remember my specific color code.

*** EDIT 1/14/2024 - I've made a model of initiative trackers designed to fit with these condition trackers: DM Screen Initiative Tracker ***

So, I made these tags with the condition/status keyword embossed on them and painted the words white or another contrasting color to stand out more. The hole for the magnet is approximately 4mm by 10 mm, intended for these specific magnets from Amazon.

These fit quite snug in the hole - you may need to use something like a clamp or similar to press the magnet in (or lightly enlarge the hole with a small round file) - but they won't fall out.

The magnets are strong, so the tags can be stacked, as seen in the pictures (make sure your polarity is correct when installing the magnets!!!).

While these were sized based on my homemade tracking solution, they would absolutely work on any metal or magnet surface, and I'm sure could be worked into various other types of tracking systems.

I've made the following 28 different tags (one blank), so you have options. Make as many as you like, or use the 3mf file with all of them together:

The letter overhangs are very small. I printed without any supports on my Prusa MK4 with no issues. But I would print one as a test to see how your machine handles it.
