Printed both the short and tall version with 0.24 layer height, 12% sparse infill density. Using TTYT3D PLA filament at 230C with 60C textured PEI bed, no glue or brim needed.
My cats' bowls are 6 inches in diameter at the base, so I scaled this design 140% on the X and Y axis and left the Z at 100%. It is a perfect fit! The tall one used about 250g of filament.
And most importantly, both cats are eating from it without any problems. My calico cat had an injury a year or so ago and gets very low to the floor and eats very slowly ever since then. I am hoping maybe this will help her be more comfortable. With this holder, she is eating while standing! Thank you.
I got like a half dozen or so of these pet bowls when Walmart carried them ( https://www.amazon.com/Van-Ness-Heavyweight-Medium-Crock/dp/B0010QAXEG/ref=asc_df_B0010QAXEG/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198076665015&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=15525844718967883978&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1015563&hvtargid=pla-319515708629&psc=1) And it is like this print was made for them! I printed out the short one first as a test, fast 60mm/s 10% infill to test. The bowls fit perfect. I'm going to do the taller one now. Thank you so much!
