Works very well and the added parts are fairly small in material usage. 10/10 will be printing a whole set and ordering more badge reels.

I redesigned this a bit to use a "Name Badge Reel" as a means to replace the built-in printed spring.

Can't wait to try this out. My PLA springs wear out after a few months. Anything else does not have decent strength to rewind a full spool. Thanks for the design!
So, won't this jam when you get to the end of the line? I figure that a typical badge holder is 1m long, and your diameter there is, say, 2cm. If the spool is mostly full, let's say it's diameter is 20cm. So, after 10m the spool would stop feeding, which is about 25g of filament. And that is just how much you can print total on that holder before you need to reset it, it's not related to a particular print.
If you read the description it says "When it reached the end of the string, the clutch slips" so this shouldn't be an issue. He also gives a YouTube video of it where he winds it and you can hear the clutch slipping after a few meters.
