Feet for rack rails (specifically - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071KSXY1H?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title but should be compatible with any 3mm rack rails) and 6mm aluminum rods (real 6.2mm diameter). At time of build total cost was below $30.
No supports needed, printed at .28 layer height, fit improves at higher resolution but its fine here.
Parts needed:
Printed -
4x v4rack6mmrod
4x v4rack6mmrod (mirrored in slicer along x-axis)
Purchased -
4x rack rails (link above is 8u but any size should work just fine)
8x 6mm rod
NOTE: Fit is tight by design, bring a hammer and get everything settled!
UPDATE March 2025, updated method, sturdier and doesn't require rods, just rails! (https://www.printables.com/model/1227547-diy-10-inch-rack-but-better)
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
