I created this wrench to use around the house for odds and ends plumbing and other work. This wrench works really well for anything that is not perfectly smooth (Square/oblong shaped objects). I had a little slippage on the PVC pipe until I tightened the strap it up a bit. I might try to improve the texture on the strap in a future revision, but it still provides a good bit of torque.
The strap simply slips into place. See picture on what direction to insert the strap. When in use, the friction and pressure of the strap cinches the slip on fitting to make sure the fitting does not release.
I highly recommend that you add reinforcing screws to the wrench.
I have not pushed this to it's breaking point!
The wrench itself seems to be very rigid. Therefore, the strap is the likely failure point when pushed to it's limits. Use at your own risk.
