Mac Mini 2024 M4 Wall Mount

Context

Mac Mini's are convenient because of their size, which allows them to be stored in out of the way locations like under a desk or on a wall. This model provides a way to mount an M4 Mac Mini to a wall or pegboard such as the Ikea Skadis using 2–4 screws.

Considerations Before Usage

• This model does not have immediate access to the power button.
  • The Mac Mini must be slid out of the mount to access the power button.
  • This works for my needs and aligns with Apple's decision to rarely use power buttons, but may not work for you.
• This model possibly does not have as much airflow as other mounts.
  • I would like to think heat rising out of it and having less surface contact on top & bottom of the Mac Mini helps, but I cannot say one way or the other.

Printing

I printed it with the default profile for Prusament PETG with support ‘everywhere’. I welcome you to do what you think will work.

Assembly

With the bigger gap facing up so that the Mac Mini does not slide out, securely screw the mount onto the desired wall surface. Then carefully slide the Mac Mini into the mount from the top until stable.

Creation

These 3D models are of my own design. I was not able to find a wall mount with the bottom of the Mac Mini facing the wall, which is why I made this, but if one already exists, I am sure it is awesome.
