Remnant - A Lynx 2.1 remix

Meet Remnant, the Lynx 2.1 remix.

Features from front to back:

New Adjustable SCAR muzzle

Locks right into the body pin, holds a 40cm barrel in place without the use of the usual barrel thumbscrews, vented, nestles inside the pump without rubbing. Not compatible with other barrel lengths.

 New Foregrip

Gently contoured, comfortable, and very secure. Clamped onto the pump rail with 2 M5x30mm bolts.

Separate Muzzle and Shroud

As the only piece too big to fit on an A1 Mini, the shroud has been cut into two pieces for printer compatibility and also easy colorization.

Pump - Shroud Print-zip Elimination

By constraining the pump snugly against the body bars and removing all points where the pump and shroud may rub, print zip has been completely eliminated

Optional Thumbscrewless Receiver

In the case that you're using a 40cm barrel and the included SCAR muzzle, no thumbscrew is necessary. Two receivers are provided - one with and one without the spot for the screwholes.

Sear Heightening

The top face of the sear has been lifted slightly to allow for faster engagement of the release when you pull the trigger.

Thumb Release

In combination with a slightly-modified grip (shown here in gold), this new thumb release is rigid and reliable, even without adding a thumbhole stock to support it.

Koda / Tachi Compatibility Improvements

A raised catch nub, as well as cropped tensioner block and carved-out stock give Koda and Tachi mags the appropriate resting height to feed without biting darts. A koda/tachi-specific magwell has been provided to heavily reduce jiggling mags as well.

Toolless Tensioner

This remix incorporates the PKI toolless tensioner with some printability and usability improvements. Notably, more teeth have been added to the thumb gear, and the recess to access that wheel has been opened up a little for easier access.

No, probably not. I changed a ton of stuff here that probably makes whatever other thing you wanted not fit properly. You're welcome to take this and remix it to work with your other thing better though.

1/4/2025: added “TensionerPost” - allows use of the standard Lynx 2.1 tensioner screw (#10-24 x 1" SHCS) instead of the hex head screw previously used. Print two of them, oriented flat on the bed, and insert the little end into the screw and the big end into the wheel like so:
