Original Post --------------------------------------
Just recently joined the Ioniq 5 family and wanted just a little more storage for my phone and glasses case. I know there are some other trays out there but wanted to give a shot at making my own and try to make it stylistically fit the interior.
Instead of making a dock I wanted to keep the cord (which is clipped to the underside) as the kids like to Aux some times and I don't want to have to move my phone.
Still a bit of work in progress but have been driving around with a version for a while and it is working out well.
Uses a magnet ring to stabilize the phone. The one I used is inexpensive and from AliExpress
Also used 2 large Command strips to hold in place - work great and come off clean - Amazon
I have a few next steps for maybe a lip and a rubber pad but I figure I would get this first version out. If I make changes or update I will update here.
Also, the STL will include the STEP file for folks who want to make edits or changes.
1/16/25 Update ---------------------------------------------
Realized that the dual rings were a little close together for the larger iPhones so new spacing and very slightly larger. Dual iPhone Pro Max's should fit side by side. Also thought it would be cool to have a light. I include two versions, one with and one without the light set up.
Light: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CT9653PK?ie=UTF8&psc=1
USBc Right Angle: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CQH48YFQ?ie=UTF8&psc=1
USBc Male Female Cable: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08NTCD6VQ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
So using a plug into the 12v outlet (not the data outlet) you can run a USBc port to the shelf, from that you can either have a charging cable for the other/ second phone or plug in a USBc light to add to the interior lighting. I found I really like the current tray but at night the area of the dash can get a little dark so a little light seemed like a fun thing to sort out.
If you need help printing or sourcing a tray, let me know and we can sort something out.

Note: The interiors of cars can get very warm in the summer. Select your printing material accordingly.
