Diffuser for Waveshare ESP32-S3 Matrix (Neopixel LED matrix)

This is a simple light diffusing cover designed to fit Waveshare's “ESP32-S3-Matrix” board.

I designed and printed it with "Eryone" brand white PLA, but I imagine any slightly-translucent filament would work.  Clear filament would probably also work, but you'd have to rough-up the flat side to make it diffuse the light.

I designed it to friction-fit onto the board, but because the part is quite small, the fit will be highly dependent on your printer and settings. If your part doesn't fit, please just reprint it rather than forcing it, otherwise you could damage your board.

Recommended printing settings:

• Print flat with no supports. If you're using a cartesian machine, you probably should also rotate it by 45 degrees (the uploaded file is already rotated 45 degrees.)
• Use a random Z-seam position (This helps prevent the small extrusions from all bending in one direction)
• 0.1mm layer height (At least for the bottom-most layers. 0.2mm is fine for the first layer, or the higher layers).
• 0.4mm nozzle (or smaller).
• Use a slower speed than normal for external perimeters/small perimeters.
• Try ensuring the first layer goes down well. (Watch it, maybe print it slowly)
• If the fit is too tight (or too loose) try adjusting your XY-size compensation.
