So, this is not the first parallel organizer on Printables, and it's not even the first Gridfinity parallel organizer.  Initially, I had printed Dneujahr's tray which I was fairly happy with until I decided to start converting my tool chest for milling over to Gridfinity.  I tried another user's Gridfinity tray, but I found that the slots were modeled way too tight for the parallels, to the point that some of them couldn't even be forced into place.

Some of that may have been down to my printer configuration and settings (I usually print Gridfinity with a 0.6mm nozzle), but either way there's plenty of room in 4x3 squares to fit the whole set with good clearance for ease of use.  Ultimately I decided to make my own from scratch, with more generous dimensions for the slots.

Like my other Gridfinity models, the base is altered to accept 6x3 magnets as a press fit, with the upper surface of the magnet holes modified to make the slicer bridge across correctly for a clean result.  I simplified the recesses a little more from the original Gridfinity design in hopes of getting better bridging with bigger nozzles and thicker layer height, although if you're printing with larger than a 0.4mm nozzle the fit may still end up a little tight.  I have found getting sizing for the magnets to be a best guess proposition due to differences in printers, filament used, print settings, and variation between magnets.  YMMV.  Due to the size of this model, I have included sacrificial “mouse ears” in the CAD to give the ends more surface area to help prevent them warping off the bed.  These will need to be removed after printing.

The unit in the pictures was printed out of Overture matte gray PLA on my Bear upgraded Mk3S+, using a 0.6mm Revo nozzle at 0.3mm layer height, 2 perimeters, and 15% infill.
