I made this vise block to clamp a ½" -14 NPS thread paintball inline regulator in order to assist in removing a seized top cap so that I could rebuild it.  This could also work on HPA tank regulators since the threads are the same, but there are better tools out there for that purpose.

To use, simply screw the regulator into the block and place the cutouts parallel to the vise ( or plier) jaws and apply adequate pressure.  Be careful to not apply too much pressure as you could still potentially still mar your threads or surface finish if the parts twists in the block or the block breaks.

The use of a strap wrench on the regulator body will probably be necessary for adequate leverage and grip if you have a really stuck cap like I did.   If the block gets stuck after end cap removal, you can pry it apart using a flat head screwdriver and remove the end cap.

Printed and tested on an X1C @ 0.2 mm layer height with 5 walls and 40% infill; standard PLA.  PETG may be a better choice if your print settings are dialed in.

EDIT: Added some different variations to choose from.  Stout has a reduced length and width cutout for added rigidity, short is just less tall for faster printing and minimalist is a trimmed downed for the fastest print time / thread test.  If anyone needs versions with more tolerance in the threads just post a comment.
