RasRig, A System to mount Cameras to Raspberry Pis and Tripods.

RasRig came to life when I needed an efficient way to set up multiple cameras for my workspace, and I realized the key was in its modularity. Every piece was designed to fit together smoothly, and the flexibility of this system allowed me to switch between different camera modules effortlessly. Now, if you're building one yourself, here's how to make it work:

Bill of Materials (BoM)

The parts you'll need vary depending on the camera module and setup, but they’re all built around the same core components. Here's a breakdown:

pi-protector-switch-mount

• Locking SPDT Switch for turning the Pi on/off.
• M2.5 Threaded Inserts (or M2.5 nuts, if you prefer).

plate-body

• 6.4mm M3 Threaded Inserts for the bracing bolts.
• M3x70mm Bolts for all configurations.
• 3.8mm M3 Threaded Inserts for front-facing bolts.
• 0.3" 1/4"-20 Inserts for tripod mounts.

Camera Module Mounting

• For standard Pi camera setups: M2x10mm Bolts and M2 Threaded Inserts.
• For wide-angle modules: M1.4x8mm Bolts and M1.4 Threaded Inserts.
• For microscope camera setups: M2x20mm Bolts and M2 Nuts.
