The Unifi Dream Router looks like an iconic droid from long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....
I came across this design but it wasn't really made for printing. I decided to clean it up to make it more printable. With it, the Unifi Dream Router looks a lot more presentable in the room and definitely a conversation starter when your friends come over.
How I printed it
- Material: PLA
- Layer height: 0.20mm
- Support: Yes. On print bed only
- Raft/ Brim: None
Putting it together
Personally, I used superglue to hold the pieces together.
A drop of glue at the following locations:
- At the connection part between the foot and leg
- At the connection part between the base and feet
- At the connection part between the base and legs

The author remixed this model.
Differences of the remix compared to the original
- Cleaned up the legs to make it suitable for 3D printing. The chamfered edges are now at 45 degrees angles for printing without support
- Patched the holes on the legs for aesthetic purposes
- Flattened the part attaching to the base for more stable installation when glued
- Added notch underneath the base for more stable installation when glued
- Added slots in the feet to guide the installation of the legs
- Added 1.75mm pin hole to secure the foot to the leg
- Added Unifi logo on the legs
