After I added the 3D Chameleon to my K1 Max the PTFE tubes kept falling out of the stock tube clips. I designed this addon to simply snap on a PC4-M10 coupler. Now the tubes stay put. This adapter can be used on the extruder and/or the filament sensor.
Print Instructions:
Filament Type: It can get hot in your printer. I strongly suggest you use ASA, ABS or something else that can resist heat longer term.
Use a 0.4 nozzle or smaller. This model has some thin walls.
Layer height. 0.20 mm is perfect. It results in nice threads.
No supports required. The model uses a temporary layer (sacrificial layer) to avoid the need for support material.
Brim is optional but not recommended.
Post Processing:
After you print the piece, you will need to remove the extra material from the temporary/sacrificial layer. This layer is put into place so your printer can “Bridge” the gap instead of needing to use support material that would be even more difficult to remove.
Assembly:
Add the PC4-M10 coupler by screwing the coupler into the printed threads.
Remove the lock clip from the stock tube coupler.
Remove the PTFE tube from the stock tube coupler.
Slide the adapter into place over the top of the stock tube coupler.
Re-Insert the PTFE tube.
Add the lock clip to the PC4-M10 coupler. All done.
