Hello, this is my first time ever making something like this so if there is any feed back or anything you would like to share about your experience please feel free to leave a comment.
Visit my YouTube Channel for the video on the assembly at www.youtube.com/@PracticallyImpracticalProjects
Fun facts about the project!!!
This was all made in Fusion 360.
This is the fiftieth version of the disc shooter.
In all I reprinted each part except for the trigger peg a total of at least 5 times each to get everything right.
I designed this all in my free time over the coarse a month and a half.( I know slow!!!!)
Please like the design it really helps a starting designer!!!
When 3d printing the disc shooter or trouble shooting (no pun intended) please follow these steps to insure that the disc shooter works as intended.
2. Make sure to remove all support material from the finished prints insuring all parts have a smooth finish.
3. For help assembling the disc shooter you can visit my YouTube channel Practically Impractical Projects.
4. Here are some solutions to problems I've come across while making this project:
Problem: Solution:
Why is the slide not sliding smoothly? Use an razer blade to shave a little bit of material off each corner and rails of the (Slide and Body).
Why is the the disc shooter gaming? There can be two causes of this: one it could be the disc shooting mechanism could have deformed or broken. Two the disc you are trying to shoot may have gotten stuck or is a bad disc.
Why is the slide not fully racking? There can be two solutions to fix this: one you can add more rubber bands to the slide to give it more power. If that doesn't work then you might have to use a razor blade to smooth out the corners and groves of the (Slide, Body, and Slide Stopper).
Why are the discs not flying far? This is cause by the disc shooting mechanism breaking or deforming. Replacing it should solve the problem.
Why are not all the discs coming out of the mag? This is cause when the rubber bands slowly get stretched out or become jumbled up. One way to fix this is to not as tightly insert the rubber bands into the (mag Advancer). Another way to fix is to pull the rubber bands into the other side of the mag going through the slots in the mag.
