The Boeing 737 MAX is a series of narrow-body aircraft developed by Boeing as the fourth generation of its 737 family. It was designed to be more fuel-efficient and eco-friendly, with updated engines and aerodynamics. However, the 737 MAX faced global scrutiny after two fatal crashes in 2018 and 2019, resulting in the grounding of the entire fleet for nearly two years. Boeing worked on software updates and safety improvements, and the aircraft was recertified for flight in 2020. Despite its troubled history, the 737 MAX has since returned to service with airlines worldwide.
