what a nice model, and i can just scale the height for the component size

I really liked the original (Matt's) design, but one thing that I felt was missing was the gridfinity compatibility. This is exactly that, and it works really well. Because of the separators, it's probably a bit less dense, storage-wise, but that's an acceptable trade-off. Some additional base sizings would be nice, as it is quite easy to modify the original 5x1 one even in slicer, but I think a proper CAD-modified model could be better evened-out in terms of the separators. I've made a 4x1 for myself, by taking the first 2 grid slots and then mirroring it. I still have to print out the labels, but already started migrating from the old storage to the new one. It's a shame the old organizers can't be reused (technically, you can, but the fit is quite loose so I think they could fall out really easily), but again, that's an understandable trade-off, and also people new to this design won't have this problem at all. Printed with PETG (JAYO Red) [base] and PLA (Sunlu Mint Green) [organizers], 0.2mm layer height, 3 walls.

@Jeroen_9031 That sounds awesome, really looking forward to the new models & the potential upgrade of the density :) (edited)

@mdzi Just uploaded the new models. Check it out, and let me know if you run into any issues (since I have not printed these myself yet)

Thanks for the great model! I cut the base rail in half as I don't have that many smd tapes yet!

@Mawoka Thanks! I can make shorter versions of the base is that is helpful.

@Jeroen_9031 If you want so, sure though I don't need it anymore, since the cut version is fine for me

would be great if this had a step file or f3d file so we could make wider versions for wider packages.

@litelotus_655902 No problem, I just added step files for both models, since those are useful for people using something other than Fusion360 as well.
